When the fights happened
The day was decided in the middle of the match. Of 311 tracked kills, 192 (62%) came in zone phases 4 to 6, while phases 1 and 2 produced only 32 (10%). At least 14 of the 16 teams were still alive when phase 4 began in every game, and only four or five teams remained when phase 7 started. Fights also shortened as the zone closed: kills in phase 4 averaged 108 m, while kills in phases 8 and 9 averaged 48 to 55 m.
Weapon meta: Mk12, M249 and AUG
The Mk12 (52 kills), M249 (51) and AUG (48) accounted for 151 of the 311 tracked kills, or 49%. Grenades took 38 kills, while the M416 took only 20 (6%). Headshots made up 17% of kills.
How teams rotated
Zone discipline: Team Falcons and TOYO Esports each spent just 0.4% of their alive time outside the safe zone. DUEL spent 13.3% there and No Way 8.5%.
Distance travelled: Copenhagen Wolves covered about 7.0 km per player and TOYO Esports about 3.4 km, yet both finished in the top four. Team Falcons averaged 4.8 km against a field average of 5.2 km.
Landing spot: Where a team landed relative to the final circle did not decide results. Across all 80 team-games, the third that landed closest to the final circle averaged 8.1st place, against 8.5th for the third that landed farthest away.
Top performers
Kickstart of Team Falcons led the day with 17 kills, ahead of teammate Gustav with 13 and Team Liquid's CowBoi with 12. Falcons' TGLTN and Shrimzy led the damage charts with 2,527 and 2,693 damage respectively. Falcons players took three of the top six kill totals.
