Team Vitality beat LOUD 2-0 in Group B of Valorant Champions 2026 on September 30, winning Ascent 13-7 and Summit 19-17 in overtime. PROFEK (1.15 rating, 82% KAST) and Sayonara (1.15, 3-0 in opening duels) led Vitality, while lukxo had the best rating in the series at 1.18 in defeat. Vitality are 2-0 in the group after beating Global Esports 2-1, and LOUD are 1-1.
Vitality took Ascent 13-7 and Summit 19-17 in this Bo3. They opened Ascent on attack and won the first four rounds, then held LOUD to 3 of 8 rounds on attack. On Summit they built a 9-3 first half on defense, then had to survive three separate LOUD leads in overtime.
Ascent: four straight rounds, then control
Vitality ran Omen, Sage, Sova, Yoru and Chamber, and LOUD answered with Yoru, Sova, Omen, Waylay and Cypher. Vitality won rounds 1 to 4 on attack, each by eliminating the defenders after a plant, and led 8-4 at half-time. LOUD won three straight on attack in rounds 12 to 14 (8-6 at the closest), but Vitality took rounds 15 and 16 on defense with eliminations and never let the gap close again. Round 18 and 19 were also defense eliminations, and PROFEK defused in round 20 to close it 13-7.
Summit: 9-3, then an overtime LOUD couldn't hold
Vitality started Summit on defense and won 9 of the first 12 rounds, including five straight from round 4 to 8, for a 9-3 half. LOUD flipped it with four straight from round 16 to 19 (10-9), then went in front three times in overtime: round 25 (12-13), round 29 (14-15) and round 33 (16-17). Vitality levelled the score in the very next round each time. LOUD's lukxo took an ace in round 29, and tkzin took a 4K in round 33. Vitality won the last three rounds: a planted 3v4 in round 34, a Sayonara defuse for 18-17 in round 35, and an attack elimination in round 36.
Why it went that way
Retakes and opening duels split the series. According to rib.gg's tracking, Vitality retook 7 of the 16 plants they faced (44%), while LOUD retook 3 of 16 (19%). LOUD failed to retake any of 7 plants on Ascent. Vitality also took first blood in 31 of 56 rounds (55%) and won 23 of those 31 (74%). LOUD won 16 of the 25 rounds where they took first blood (64%).
On Ascent, Vitality's attack reached a plant in 7 of 12 rounds and won all 7. On Summit that conversion fell to 6 of 9, which is part of why the map stayed close.
