Although there is still time before the VALORANT Champions Tour of 2022 kicks off, the world of VALORANT is still turning. Roster moves are making up the majority of the news prior to the new season of competition beginning. Over in Japan, a massive player transfer just took place. Shogo “takej” Takemori has moved from ZETA DIVISION to REJECT.

Takej was famously suspended from ZETA DIVISION for playing on a smurf account to help boost another player’s account. That was in violation of Riot’s VALORANT Community Code and ZETA felt the need to take action due to his high profile public status as one of their players.

The three month suspension is ending, as is his time in ZETA DIVISION. Now, takej is the final piece of the puzzle for REJECT. After winning First Strike Japan, coming in 2nd at Stage 1 Masters, and winning Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, ZETA DIVISION underperformed on the international stage at Masters Berlin. That experience, though, will help takej take REJECT to new heights as their success has been flailing as of late.

REJECT took third in First Strike Japan, Stage 1 Masters, and Stage 2 Challengers Finals. Stage 3 Challengers 2 was the last time the team saw the podium. Adding takej to the roster could be what propels them back to their winning ways. Anything could happen, however. It seems like VALORANT will be a completely different beast in 2022. Teams better be ready.
