The British esports organization, Vexed Gaming, has announced their entry into the VALORANT competitive scene. The org has picked up the former organization-less side, M4LIK. Runitback also got some comments from Daniel “Skiin” O’Hare, the Talent Manager for Vexed Gaming.

New Home and New Beginnings

M4LIK saw a rather successful run in the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 3 Challengers 1 qualifiers. Their journey was halted in the Round of 16 stage where BIG Clan emerged as the better side. Nevertheless, their indomitable push was enough for Vexed Gaming to make up their minds about signing the filled-with-potential M4LIK side.

We’re excited to branch out into Valorant and continue to further support the UK esports scene. I believe the roster has shown some fantastic potential in an extremely competitive region and I can’t wait to see how things progress.

– Mark Weller, Chief Gaming Officer of Vexed Gaming

The now Vexed Gaming roster will continue their run in VCT at Challengers 2 in Europe. The stage kicks off on Tuesday, 20th of July. This will be the team’s final chance of getting themselves into the EMEA Challengers Finals from where they have a chance to represent the EMEA region in Masters 3 in Berlin, Germany.

Following the acquisition of M4LIK, the Vexed Gaming VALORANT roster now looks as follows:

Daniel “Skiin” O’Hare on Vexed Gaming’s Acquisition of M4LIK

Runitback: Why have you decided to sign this particular orgless roster, M4LIK? What were some things that made you see the potential in them?

Skiin: The roster has had some fantastic performances against some respectable teams. Considering they have only been formed a few months ago and are a relatively young roster, they show great promise.

After opening up conversations with them (M4LIK), myself and our Chief Gaming Officer (Mark Weller) were extremely impressed with their attitude. The way they look at everything and the care that was put into building the roster they have today. Both, team captain kingHaS, and his supporting members really had their heads screwed on. It was refreshing to hear and with the correct attitude comes potential. Here at Vexed we feel it’s extremely important for players to have the correct attitude, we’re excited to see where this potential alongside our support can take them.

Runitback: We’re at the end of Stage 3 of VALORANT Champions Tour now. After this, only the Champions event remains. Why have you decided to expand to VALORANT now?

Skiin: We feel VALORANT has a lot of potential and with the competitive interest only growing with more and more players transitioning from other games it’s exciting to see how the scene develops and grows and we want to be a part of that, whilst continuing our goal of helping support UK talent along the way.

Runitback: What are the current goals for this new Vexed Gaming roster?

Skiin: The immediate goal is to provide them with the support they need to grow as a roster and as players. Over and above that we would like to see them become a true powerhouse within UK VALORANT and continue to climb the ranks to contend among the best in Europe, that seems to be the Vexed way.

We wish Vexed Gaming all the best in their venture into VALORANT. Remember to check out Vexed Gaming’s official website, their Instagram, Twitter, as well as Facebook accounts.
