Riot Games has officially announced that Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Stage 2 Masters will be played out in a LAN environment. Featuring teams from all over the world, the event will be held on LAN in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.

World’s Best Will All Finally Gather on LAN

After months of online Valorant competition with tourneys played in regions, the second Masters event in Valorant will finally pit the top teams from all over the world in one place. Everyone has been waiting for this moment. The debate of which region stands out will finally be settled in Reykjavik. With a lag-free environment, all sides will have equal playing ground for settling the on-going region debate once and for all.

To qualify for the Masters event, teams will first have to go through regional qualifications. In this way, we will only get the best of the best teams to play it all out in Reykjavik.

The event will take place at the Laugardalshöll venue and will run from May 24 until May 30. Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus pandemic still being very much a thing in 2021, live audience will not be permitted at the event in the end of May. Players and staff will have to quarantine to ensure all safety precautions are in place at the event.

The event is sponsored by Verizon. The firm will provide 5G wireless network for the event as it extends the long-running partnership with Riot Games. With the announcement of Masters on LAN, Verizon has been confirmed as the global partner for the Valorant Champions Tour.
