Today on November 12, 2021 at 4:45 PM GMT+8, VCT KR team NUTURN Gaming has announced the release of Kang “solo” Keun-chul from their active VALORANT roster.

Also on twitter, solo announced his retirement from being a competitor.

Solo is known to be one of the most veteran FPS players in Korea and has achieved notable international success in CS 1.6 under the banner of WeMadeFOX. With regards to VALORANT, he led the newly formed organization NUTURN to a very successful first half of the year in the circuit, managing a first place finish in the VCT KR Stage 2 Challengers tournament and a respectable third place finish in Masters 2 Reykjavik, VALORANT’s first international LAN.

The team then struggled to put up similar results in the latter half of the year. They were unable to get higher than a round of eight finish in VCT KR Stage 3. They were also unable to achieve higher than a fourth place finish in the APAC LCQ. Both losses were to fellow VCT KR team DAMWON Kia.

With the departure of both Seo “Suggest” Jae-young and Park “allow” Sang-wook earlier this month, NUTURN currently only have two remaining players in their active VALORANT roster.

There’s been no word yet on who NUTURN will choose to fill out the empty slots on the roster. We here at Runitback will continue to give updates on any changes once more information becomes available.
