At 9:18 AM on November 16, 2021, VCT KR team NUTURN gaming announced the release of Yoon “Hyeoni” Hyun-seok from their active VALORANT roster. With this change, four-fifths of the roster that played in the APAC LCQ have now left the organization.

Hyeoni played for DFR in the last VCT KR tournament as the team’s star Jett Oper, but were unable to make it to the playoffs after falling to both NUTURN in the group stage upper bracket and GochuGaru in the group stage lower bracket. After the event, he was signed by NUTURN but the team ultimately failed in securing a spot at CHAMPIONS.

For NUTURN’s part, the organization had plenty of success in the first half of the year by winning VCT Stage 2 and reaching a respectable Third Place in VALORANT’s first international LAN in Reykjavik, Iceland. The second half was less than stellar for the organization unfortunately.

WIth Hyeoni’s departure, only one player remains in NUTURN’s active VALORANT roster:

There has been no news yet regarding Hyeoni’s next team. There has also been no news yet regarding how NUTURN will fill out the empty slots in their VALORANT roster. We here at Runitback will continue to give any updates on the situation as it unfolds.
