Nerd Street Gamers to host more Valorant tournaments for Riot Games

Nerd Street Gamers announced today that their partnership with Riot will extend to all three stages of VCT North America and the first tournament in the VALORANT Game Changers Series.

Nerd Street Gamers has been hosting all of the VCT North America tournaments, including their qualifiers, dating all the way to Challengers 1. The VCT North America Stage 1 Masters part of the tournament scommences on March 11. Stage 2 kicks off on Thursday, April 1.

VCT Game Changers

The $50k VCT Game Changers is a separate tournament from VCT. According to Riot, it is focused on “creating new opportunities and exposure for women and other marginalized genders within VALORANT esports.” It will be split into the Game Changers Series and the Game Changers Academy. Riot Games and Nerd Street Gamers worked together on a similar venture in 2020, the FTW Summer Showdown. According to them, that tournament features the largest prize pot for an all-female VALORANT tournament to date.

Open Qualifiers for the VCT Game Changers Series I will start on March 19. The main event will follow less than a week later, on March 25.
