FNATIC has had a 2021 that can be labeled successful throughout the VALORANT Champions Tour. The end goal, a victory at Champions, was not achieved, however. After losing to KRÜ Esports in the Champions Quarterfinals, we were bound to see some roster changes. It started with Domagoj “Doma” Fancev moving to an inactive status. That has been followed up with strategic coach Martin “Anderzz” Schelasin being let go.

You can view the full announcement in the tweet made by FNATIC above. An excerpt reads:

These tactics no doubt helped pave our way to Champions earlier this month, and we will always remain thankful for his influence and input in these early stages of our Valorant journey. However, we believe that Anderzz has outgrown his role here at Fnatic. His potential as a head coach is huge, and anyone looking to pick him up will be looking at a playbook and strategic edge that should be feared among the VCT.

Anderzz quickly let it be known that he is seeking opportunities for the 2022 VCT circuit. Many may remember the American coach during his time with Last Round Save and VIRTUOSO. A shot with FNATIC came on August 27, 2021 and that certainly added to his credentials.

His stocks as a coach are as high as they have ever been and, as FNATIC stated in the announcement, Anderzz has tons of potential when it comes to a head coaching role.

Run It Back wishes him the best in finding a team for 2022. Stay tuned for more VALORANT news!
