Roster change after roster change is filling the Twitter timeline. VALORANT continues to evolve. New metas form, new rosters arrive, and players shift throughout the many organizations that took a chance on the esport. One prominent organization is now without three of its players. Evil Geniuses has confirmed the release of Nolan “Temperature” Pepper, Brandon “branted” Ballard, and Daniel “roca” Gustaferri.

The Evil Geniuses VALORANT squad has seen mild success in the Tier 2 North American scene. They placed Top 4 in several events throughout 2021, but are now looking to make some adjustments as the 2022 VALORANT Champions Tour season approaches.

It has been known for a few days that roca was released from his contract early and now two of his teammates will be joining him in free agency. At the time of writing, branted has not made a statement regarding his release and his future. Temperature has, however, and let it be known he is ready to continue competing.

The former Moon Raccoons player, and now former Evil Geniuses player, was loaned to Gen.G Esports for the North American Last Chance Qualifier. Gen.G bowed out of the event with a 5th-6th place finish, but Temperature did not return to the active EG roster once the loan duration expired.

These are three talented individuals in a wide pool of North American VALORANT players. Thankfully, the pool of organizations within the esport seems to be widening as well. They should have zero problem starting their next chapter in the game, wherever that may be.

Best of luck to the three of them and stay tuned to Run It Back for more breaking news!
