The 2022 VALORANT Champions Tour is shaping up to be one crazy circuit. Team after team have finalized their roster prior to the new season of Riot sponsored competition. Up and coming stars are hoping to make a name for themselves and powerhouses are looking for the last piece that will push them to a championship. That reasoning is why XSET has added Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban.

Cryocells joins XSET

XSET was seen as the ultimate underdog throughout 2021. The organization’s VALORANT team gained a backing that stood by their side through thick and thin. The team truly exceeded expectations as they shattered the underdog narrative and cemented their position as one of the top teams in the North American scene. The potential is scary, especially with Cryocells on board now.

Cryocells is known as one of the best Jett players in NA. During his time with Big Frames and SoaR, he dominated lower tier tournaments such as the VALORANT Sunday Showdowns, Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlets, and various Nerd Street Gamers events. Just view the replies to the announcement tweet and you’ll see how highly regarded he is among other players.

Nothing has been confirmed in the aftermath of this player acquisition, but the unfortunate truth is that Cryocells is more than likely taking someone’s spot. Looking at the roster, it appears that original XSET Jett player, Bryce “PureR” Lovell, would be the odd man out. Again, that hasn’t been confirmed by XSET and all speculation should be taken with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made.

Stay tuned to Run It Back as the roster shakeups keep coming!
